My Experience Doing 3 + Years Of INTERMITTENT FASTING
Intermittent fasting is something I’ve done for quite some time now. Overall it has had a huge impact on my health, my overall well-being and even my productivity.
Out of every benefit, the most profound has been the increase in my discipline and willpower.
As Musonius Rufus once said, food is the best test of self-control and discipline. Why? Because it’s presented to us every single day.
Therefore, by fasting consistently, you gain the power of this test of self-control. The pleasure of food which is so abundant and so accessible in the modern world.
By mastering this habit, you not only master food, you conquer every other pleasure which is tempting and harmful.
Intermittent fasting has made me more productive, focused and alert. Fasting is good for the brain through mechanisms such as increasing neurogenesis through increased BDNF.
There are also some key advantages to the brain when it is in ketosis which occurs during fasting.
Fasting simply gives you more time to do the things which matter.
And when you do eat, it just tastes that much better.
I know a lot of you already fast, but I suggest taking it to the next level. The benefits are surreal. If you haven’t started, along as you’re healthy, then please give it a go. You won’t regret it.
